This website was created as part of a full branding project for a brand new bathroom showroom. Draw A Bath create bespoke bathroom designs from design to fitting and it was crucial that the website communicated the standards and high quality ethos of the brand.
The frontend framework Foundation was used to create a custom WordPress theme that worked well across all screen sizes and devices. There was a strong use of imagery throughout the site, and the use of content fade-ins was used to give a calming and assured feel.
To create a sense of anticipation and capture the user’s attention, the clients wanted the first load of the website to display some form of visual effect or animation. We decided to use an animation showing a blurred image becoming clear, referencing the steam clearing on a bathroom mirror.
A combination of JavaScript and CSS was used to create the effect.
Where imagery didn’t feature as heavily, the designers used carefully considered typesetting to maintain a high quality feel. The spacing rules were implemented across multiple media queries to ensure this was preserved across device sizes.
